AMOXYCILLIN-400 TABLETS
Composition
Amoxycillin (as trihydrate) 400mg/Tablet
Action
Amoxycillin is a semisynthetic penicillin, highly active against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Amoxycillin is stable in the presence of gastric acid and may be given without regard for meals.
Indications
Treatment of infections caused by amoxycillin susceptible organisms in dogs and cats and treatment of bacterial enteritis when due to susceptible organisms in calves.
Contraindications
Do not use on small herbivores such as rabbits and guinea pigs, or animals with a history of allergic reactions to penicillin.
Dosage
Dogs and Cats: Give orally 4 to 11mg/Kg bodyweight twice daily until 48 hours after symptoms have subsided.
Calves: 1 Tablet (400mg) per 50Kg bodyweight twice daily for 48 hours after all symptoms have subsided. Not to be used beyond 5 days.
Withholding Period
Do not administered later than 20 days before slaughter for human consumption.

Tablets: 500's - colour coded pale green, with breaker bar quarters.
